We work hard.
We care deeply.
Gallant Services is a family-run tree care and excavation company serving Ottawa East, Clarence-Rockland and surrounding Eastern Ontario communities with skilled work, honest communication and respect for every property.
A passion for nature turned into a family business
Long before Gallant Services existed, Jean-Christophe “JC” Gallant had an appreciation for the outdoors and a passion for climbing. Growing up in Sainte-Calixte, north of Montreal, he was surrounded by the kind of natural landscape that made working among trees feel like a natural path.
In 2019, JC and his wife Kayla turned that passion into Gallant Tree Services & Yardworks. What began with tree care has grown into a trusted local operation offering professional tree services, hedge work and excavation solutions for residential and commercial properties.
Growth has never changed the heart of the business. JC and Kayla remain hands-on, involved and accountable. Clients know who they are working with, who is responsible and who to call when they have a question.
The people behind Gallant Services
Two owners with different strengths, one shared commitment: to provide dependable work and an experience local property owners feel good recommending.
Jean-Christophe (JC) Gallant
JC leads the company and brings his lifelong comfort with heights, respect for nature and practical problem-solving to every project. His role reaches far beyond the work itself: he manages jobs, customer relationships, labour, supplies and equipment maintenance.
That direct involvement gives clients confidence that the person assessing the project understands what it will take to complete it safely and properly. JC’s approach is straightforward—look carefully, plan responsibly and never lose sight of the property surrounding the work.
Kayla Gallant
Born and raised in Orleans, Kayla has spent her life in the Ottawa area. After college she became a nurse, then took time away to start a family. Instead of returning to nursing, she chose to build a business alongside her husband.
Kayla helps keep Gallant Services moving behind the scenes and in the field. She manages bookkeeping and marketing, creates the company’s social content and can often be found on site helping with the work. Her local roots and care for people shape the responsive, personal service clients experience.
Values you can see on the job site
These are not slogans. They shape how we assess a project, communicate with clients and leave a property when the work is complete.
Safety First
Careful planning, appropriate equipment and awareness of the surrounding property come before speed.
Honest Advice
Clear recommendations help you understand the work, the priorities and what your property truly needs.
Respectful Work
Your time, property and neighbours matter. We work thoughtfully and take cleanup seriously.
Local Responsibility
We live and work in the communities we serve, so every relationship and reputation matters.
Prepared for demanding work
Tree care and excavation require more than effort. They demand sound judgment, technical knowledge, maintained equipment and respect for the risks involved.
Gallant Services combines hands-on experience with relevant arborist training and responsible business practices. The company is fully insured, and its certifications and community recognition reflect an ongoing commitment to professional service.
Professional development, responsible coverage and community recognition support the work we do.
Trees planted for every tree removed
Sometimes infestation, age, risk or location means a tree must be removed. We believe necessary removal should still be paired with meaningful restoration.
For every tree Gallant Services removes, ten trees are planted in Ontario. It is our way of supporting healthier future forests and honouring the natural environment at the centre of our work.
